Hey Mike, how far after "Dollhouse" does that new story take place? Is it before or after the sequel?
Dr. Scannell, thanks for the review. Liked this line:
"As he enters the up-and-down process of kicking the opiates and getting back into cigarettes, the narrative comes apart, but in a perfectly deliberate way, jammed up chunks of prose revealing the mental state of the narrator."
That's one of my favorite aspects of the book, when Tony gets to NYC and then the style of the writing changes. I don't even know if it was done on purpose, but hell if it even matters.

Even though there's a lot more to the new Laura Hird, considering the review, I wanted to move this topic to the TJ Press zone.

Regarding the review, it was my pleasure. Thanks for producing a quality book. Makes writing a review a hell of a lot easier.

Nick's Shadow is way after the Dollhouse sequel, in '92. This story is true, my friend was murdered. There was so much blood on the sidewalk, they had to wash it off with a firehose.

Sorry about your friend. Fuckin' pushpins on the map. You think he'd read the book and like it?
