Anybody been watchcing that HBO miniseries about Iraq 2 written by the guys who did The Wire? The scene with the snipers in the 2nd episode left an impression.

haven't seen it. NPR reviewed it and said it offered nothing but war cliches. this was the same guy that said the wire was possibly the best show on tv, ever.
weeds and entourage.... family guy too.

Hmmmm. I'd say it's pretty lacking in war cliches. Like, there really aren't archetype guys... the tough black dude, the nerdy engineer, the heroic leader. I think it's all based on embedded reporter material, so if there's cliche, it's only because it's true.
Family Guy got old for me after a few seasons, same with Entourage. What's this Weeds thing about?
