Jesus. It's possible I was told about that but forgot. I'll be buying one. And everyone else should too.

Can you pre-order from the Vagabond site? I can't find a way. And I can't find it on amazon.
Ideas?

Yeah I chatted with Spencer the other day and he said Amazon was the way to go. I will be doing an interview with Spencer for Outsider Writers some time this spring after I have had time to read the book. Think he is slated to be Outsider of the Month for May. Can't wait to read this book.

Finally finished my copy. Okay, so I think the reason this book works for me is because I moved to Boston (age 23) the week of September 11th. More or less, most of my adult life has been defined by the Garbage Bush years, which have equaled war, paranoia, disconnect and ignorance. This book is for anybody who was against the war from the beginning. It's starting to grow out of its tragically hip phase. It's sex after the three basic positions are used. It's city people with country origins. It's in cheap hotel rooms in unfamiliar cities. It tastes strange but it costs less. It's drugs you haven't heard of before. It's in the leather pouch carried by that guy who does voodoo. They're talking about it on the lower end of the AM spectrum early each morning. Here are a few stories that we ran in TJ that are in "Songs of Insurgency" in case you're new to these parts: A Jar in Tennessee: www.thievesjargon.com/workview.php?work=603Pay for Soup, Build a Fort, Burn that Down: www.thievesjargon.com/workview.php?work=907The Sea Beneath: www.thievesjargon.com/workview.php?work=864

Hoping that the editor of the press will hand-deliver one to me tomorrow at the Austin airport as I don't have any money in my bank account.
